Uniform

Children from Primary upwards are expected to wear the correct uniform to every lesson. Most items can be ordered from the school: please ask for a price list and order form.  Mrs Lisa Schnellmann visits with a “mobile shop” several times a term, and you can also pre-order uniform from her, and either pick it up or have it delivered to your child’s class.  Lisa’s contact email is:  lisa.schnellmann@gmail.com
You can hand an order form in to any teacher, and please attach the correct payment.  Then the uniform will arrive as soon as can be arranged, usually within two weeks unless the item was out-of-stock with the manufacturers.

Hair should be suitably dressed for classical ballet. Long hair should be in a bun.

Hair:

Hair must be suitably dressed for all classes.  This means very tightly tied back and, for ballet, secured in a neat bun with hairpins and a hairnet.  I can supply these, with a brush and hair ties, in a little kit, for £3 – see order form.

From Primary onwards (it is less of an issue for 3 – 5 year olds), children should please wear the correct uniform for their level.  This helps them to feel a pride in their appearance and a sense of identification with the school and with the art of Ballet.  All teachers are under instruction to enforce the wearing of the correct clothing for class.  By supplying it to you through the school, we make it as affordable as possible; many parents find clothing even more cheaply through Ebay.  Thank you for your co-operation in encouraging the children to attend all classes appropriately dressed.
